Julie Byers is currently teaching third grade at LCS. Mrs. Byers graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She taught first grade at Westview Elementary in Jonesboro, Indiana, then second and third grade for Howell Nazarene Christian School, before taking time off to raise and school her children. She served as the children’s minister at her church in Fowlerville. She has also spent several years as a substitute teacher and worked for Fowlerville schools as a Title 1 reading teacher before coming to LCS in the fall of 2020.
Mrs. Byers is very delighted that God has graciously called her to Livingston Christian Schools. She is so thankful to be serving God through serving the families here. Teaching children about their creator, their world, and their purpose has always been her calling in life. She believes every child is brought to her classroom by God’s design and seeks to help each student grow spiritually, academically and relationally. Outside of school Mrs. Byers enjoys hikes, gardening, and new experiences, along with serving both her family and her church.
Her favorite Bible verse is 3 John 4, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.” (ESV)
