I am so blessed to be teaching Kindergarten at LCS!
I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary K-8 and then went on to be certified in Early Childhood from Eastern Michigan University. I specialize in science, language arts, and art. I have also earned my ACSI professional certification and am certified as a teacher of Excellence in Writing.
I have been teaching at LCS since 2022. I first started teaching first grade for a few years, then second grade, and finally, Kindergarten where I absolutely fell in love! Being at LCS is such a blessing and huge answer to prayer! I couldn’t be happier here and am so thankful that God placed me here at LCS and am thankful for teaching Kindergarten. Kindergarteners are so excited about the world around them and are a joy to teach. I absolutely LOVE teaching them to read, helping them become lifelong learners, AND sharing my love for Jesus with them!
I have been happily married to my husband, Al, for almost 39 years. We have three amazing children who are all married and have blessed us with seven grandchildren. Ashley (Brandon) has two boys. Ashley graduated with a teaching degree from Eastern Michigan University, Christina (Rich) has three boys. Christina graduated from Spring Arbor with a BA in marketing and a children ministries degree. Aaron (Rachel) has two girls. Aaron graduated from Grand Valley University with a computer engineering degree. In my spare time, I love spending time with my seven grandkids, family and friends, camping, riding around in my Can-Am, reading, and traveling.
I love helping at my church and have been on many missions’ trips. I have many favorite Bible verses, but one of my favorites is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things in Christ who strengthens me.” No matter what life throws my way, the trials, and struggles, I know that my Lord will be “my Rock” and my source of strength. He has taken me through many difficult times and has made things possible in my life that I never could have imagined without Him.
