Doris Lods graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences and Elementary Education. She has taught third grade at Livingston Christian Schools since 2001. To keep current on new educational practices, she often takes classes during the summer. She also attends educational webinars sessions online and regularly uses technology to enhance student learning.
She became a Christian at an early age. Ms. Lods enjoys working with students; teaching them about Jesus and how to make Christ applicable in their daily lives. At church, she serves on the worship team and is a prayer partner to a 6th grade girl. She sponsors two children; one in Ethiopia and the other in Cambodia. She attends a weekly ladies’s Bible study.
She is fond of reading, walking on the beach, and traveling to northern lower Michigan for leisure time. Frankenmuth is another favorite location to visit.
Her favorite Bible passage is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” (ESV)
