Preparing for Rain . . . Have you seen the hit movie this year called Facing the Giants? This Christian film was shown in theatres and incorporated the story of two farmers who prayed for rain, but only one prepared to receive the rain. As Deuteronomy 11:13-15 states, we are not only to expect God’s blessing, but we are to prepare for it. In order to raise funds for the purchase and upgrades of the facility, Livingston Christian Schools kicked off the capital campaign, "Preparing for Rain," at the ice cream social on September 14, 2007. Many of you visited with the two "farmers" who told you they prayed for rain. One had an umbrella and was waiting for rain, checking with everyone for a weather report. The other was preparing for rain by working the soil, knowing that in God's perfect time, he would send the rain.
