It is the goal of Parent League to provide activities, services, and technologies that will enrich the academic, spiritual, social and physical lives of LCS students and their families.
Who We Are
Parent League is a vital part of LCS. This group of parents takes on many important roles for the school such as organizing classroom assistance as well as other areas of the school, promoting fellowship with LCS families, and fundraising.
When We Meet
Parent League meets monthly in the kitchen the first Friday of every month at 8:30 a.m. All parents are encouraged to participate.
Beginning of the Year Activities
Parent League has been busy again this school year, starting with the "Prayer Around the Flag Pole" event the first day of school, which proved to be the biggest turnout yet. During September we have our annual Ice Cream Social. This is a great time to fellowship with other families, meet children from your child’s class and pig out on Ice Cream!
Special Events
A few special events the Parent League plans on hosting this year may include: Grandparents/Special Friends Day, Big Boy Family Night (you could get your food served by your favorite teacher, staff member or even Mr. Nast ), Hartland Pool Swim Night, an in-house conference for the teaching staff. For Thanksgiving we typically join efforts with the Salvation Army to provide food to needy families in our community. In February, PL provides funding for Spiritual Life Week. During the Easter season, PL will coordinate with another charity organization to offer support and assistance where needed. In the spring we like to show the teachers and staff how much they mean to us and how grateful we are to have them. At the end of the year we partner with Mrs. Lake and have popsicles and cookies to energize the kids during field day.
On-Going Events
On-going events PL help support are: Monthly teacher/staff luncheons, the weekly Pizza Lunch Day, daily lunchroom aides, and help for classrooms.
